Just wondering roughly how much people pay per month who have 3 horses.

I understand everyones will be different.

I have 2 currently but I'm thinking about getting another.

My new one will live in and the other two live out and are barefoot (The horse i am looking at getting has 4 shoes)

Just a rough price if poss :)

2 barefoot, out, are manageable. It's the extra one that breaks the bank. As someone who has 8 in total on NHS wages, I'm glad I don't have a mortgage to pay. My 3rd is also going to be in, has 4 shoes, and an expensive taste in competition fees. Shoes - £70 every 6-8 weeks. Could you have backs taken off? Transition to barefoot?
It's just that everything starts adding up, with rugs, and vaccinations, and wormers, and livery etc etc etc
Hay and bedding horribly expensive this winter, but depends on where you are. Consider rubber matting?
Also, working 2 is fun, is keeping 3 exercised, handled, groomed, rug changes etc etc still fun or does it become a chore? Think of all that extra poo!
Jeez, why do we do it?
