Keeping a weak three year old amused

Cortez, I have a low boredom threshold, and he's lovely and I don't want to be tempted to ride him for too long, he's not mature enough yet. Like yours, he does love doing stuff :)

Do you need to ride him? Mine isn't ridden anywhere near as much as yours, and proportionately he's carrying a lot less weight than your 13 hander with an adult on.

I can't abide showing but I do plan to do some for his experience. I'll just have to grit my teeth :D

for the very same reason as you, yes, doing a bit of work is better.

he's a quick thinking, hot headed, sharp welshy and doing a bit twice a week agrees with him (it also means i have to watch his weight a bit less, which makes him happier as he can eat more. I cannot muzzle him as that pink face gets rubbed to blood in minutes)

he generally does 15 mins in the school once, and a hack that is all walk except one trot and one canter...........so still not much.

im 7 stone 10 currently and trying to hit the 7'8 mark so whilst im aware you yourself are not big, i weigh less than a lot of the kids on the 12hh show ponies..............i doubt he's struggling!

i was trying to be supportive in your choice, but hey ho!
