Dexie loved his mates paddling pools- until he rolled in this one and got water up his nose!- please excuse the boobs and HUGE gut- mine not his!

and decided the best way to keep cool is just to lay in their water trough!

Aww love him, I have to shut mine in when it's hot as he just won't stop! When I first got him he was always getting heat stroke

They do actually have a bigger pool for the hoomins! She has the MOST amazing dog friendly garden!

Yep new trainer- told me to stop taking him to class as it will all be too much, and we are Classically conditioning the butt off him!! Instead of avoiding other dogs I now stalk people with dogs clicking and treating when the ginge doesnt react- am sure my neighbour hood watch has meetings about "that woman and the dog in the purple harness"!! :)

At some point I am so going to have to teach the bark/quiet thing- not looking forward to the bark part.....!! For now though the "less squealing/dancing/lungeing towards another dog" is actually working at a distance... woop!

He's looking really chilled, in every sense of the word.:D Evie has a paddling pool in the garden, as well as the horses water trough to cool down in. Sounds like its going well with the new trainer, great news.

Well done :) TBH it is hard at first, when I say 'quit' I kinda have to bellow it to get his attention and then just drop my head and stay very calm then the longer he is quiet the more I reward him. It's getting better!

I guess it is just giving us something else to try- "watch me" wasnt working as I said "watch me" he looked round to see what was coming, despite me doing it when there was naff all around... blumming dog!

LOL!!

Last week at training class (my last at least for now- causes dex head melt down) there was a little Staff boy, a rescue, who had obviously had some owners with a sense of humour in the past, chap said "sit"... dog stretched out its front paws, put his head on them and stuck his butt in the air!!!
