keeping his attention out hacking???

just bringing jayjay back into work after a year off due personal reasons plus i was a lazy moo

anyway, started taking him out for short hacks but he seems to have lost all ability to listen to me and to walk in a straight line, hes so busy spooking at everything and turning this way and that to see things that hes all over the place, and i am struggling to keep him together half the time

any ideas are welcome

Just lots and lots of hacking so it loses its novelty...and try schooling him while hacking; if he's busy, he may be less spooky.

We're still a work in progress...

hes always been spooky, lord knows how he managed to hunt and do x/c without going face first into a tree

My boy can be like this a bit if he hasn't been out and about for a while. If he is I normally school him, particularly leg yielding seems to work, few half halts etc...its worth a try!
