Hi

I have a very annoying situation of giving the big coloured cob a bath the night before a show then him digging a well in his (pretty thick rapport) bed and grinding his knees and feathers into his disgusting wee overnight! Cue me arriving at some ungodly hour on show day to find the once gleeming feathers brown, stinking and stained!

So my question is, is there anything I can safely leave on him overnight to keep his legs clean? Was thinking of the thermatex cordura wraps but they won't cover knees, so started wandering if it would be safe/comfortable to use these http://www.thermatex.co.uk/thermatex/Thermatex_Travel_Boots__Set_of_4_.html ?

Any advice or ideas?? :)

Thanks!

I would not put anything on which would heat the legs, I suppose you could get up half an hour earlier?
Or a new bale of shavings?
tubigrip, taped between hood and knee?
Easier to get up an hour earlier.
Pat someone else to wash legs in the morning [saving £85!!]

Thanks, don't think the extra shavings would work as he drags it about to uncover the wee then lays in it (he wee's a lot!). Also have a bit of an unusual situation where have to hack to the lorry lift (grateful to have a lift mind) so have to get up pretty early anyway plus am all dressed in show gear so don't really want to have to start bathing then, plus don't think the feathers would dry in time anyway!

Thanks for your suggestions though :) I do use cowboy magic in the morning, but it is asking a bit much for it to get off that sized stain :D
