pony has developed a habit of diving to one side after a fence, pretty much like shes been raced round when jumping like shes in a jump off.

Shes still careful over the fence which is a godsend but this diving is *really* annyoying me.

I can sort of steer her over and make her go back to the line I'm aiming for, no problems, but as she lands she turns.. and I'm struggling to figure out how to stop her before she does it, instead of correcting her after shes done it..

Any ideas?

A pole of the floor on landing to the side which she is going. Keep well to the side to start with so she doesn't land on it and gradually bring it in. You can eventually use a funnel of poles a couple each side to help you move away from the fence straight.

Like SJ said, also if she is making the turn in the air, try a V of poles balances with the point on the centre of the jump and the arms on the floor. This will keep her straight in the air.

Yeah, shes turning in the air I think, or at least starting to think about it.. and as she lands the shoulder drops she takes a stride and shes turned.

Shes a smart bugger I'll give her that. Its the thinking bit I think I need to crack with her not the actual action...

I'll try the poles :d thanks.

Yes, poles along side the fence is a great idea, like SJ said. You can keep them going and going so the horse stays straight after the fence. Good luck!
