I have a question if i may about keeping a house flexed whilst jumping courses. I jump different horses and whilst some stay in a rythym others like to rush and charge off either infront of the fence or on landing. We all know we shouldn't pull on the rein as its ineffective, but its a hard habit to break. I've been told to flex the horse instead of pulling which i try to do by using an indirect rein toward the wither then release on the approach to the fence. sometimes this works well and sometimes I'll be riding something that is so tight down one side it had no ability to flex say to the right at all and so i then revert back to the dreaded pull to keep it all together. Can any of you lovely people throw some tips my way please ?
