My lovely mare was diagnosed with Kissing Spines last week
Still a bit upset after it but glad to have a diagnosis and that I was right in getting her checked. Vet said it is really mild, they haven't started to overlap yet but are close to each other, so now is the time to start rehab work.
She's had the injection (surgery highly unlikely as it is so low grade) and will be having physio as part of the treatment plan, but for the next 3 weeks I am to focus on flatwork and building her muscles up through lunging, groundwork/stretches, and polework. Lots of cavaletti etc.
Can anyone suggest some good exercises that I can use that will help to strengthen her back up, especially with poles, that will prevent her getting bored?
