Hi,
Does anyone have experience of using Kelvin Lymer farrier? Just after reviews. He came to look at our horses this week after myself having worries that our current farrier is causing issues. Kelvin said he would be making changes to how they gave been shod and is coming in December to shoe them (they were only done by my current farrier last week so can't do much yet especially as they have been cut back quite short), he was recommended by a friend who has just started using him and seen quite a positive difference in her horses but I can't find any more recent reviews. I gather he is very expensive but with lots of historical vet bills I am hoping he will be worth it.
TIA 😊

The Shoeing Lab at Grimley Worcestershire is his business, does a lot of plastic shoes, it is family business and he employs a fair few farriers. I had a poor experience with him but that was a lot of years ago.

I'm guessing you are Midlands/Worcestershire area. The leading remedial farrier in that area is Matt Burrows but you wouldn't get him unless you were referred to TCEH. He does have clients of his own, but the hospital has taken up a lot of his time now.

Thank you, one of our horses is in fact under the care of TCEH at the moment so I will speak to them, we are back there in a couple of weeks with her.
