Next Feb I'm going to South Africa for 10 days to visit my best friends who have moved out there with their work. I have many pets, hence why I haven't been abroad for 5 years! I have got the cats, rabbits, chickens and the horses covered...just leaves the dogs. I have two lovely collie x lab bitches. They are typical collie types eg never stop! Crave attention 24/7, want to do stuff all the time. All my family have at least one dog or work most of the day so i can't ask them. I think the only option is kennels as i'm not to keen on a house sitter in my house.

I have never used kennels and a bit worried about the costs! Anyone reccomend any? Or have any other ideas? Anyone have a lovely farm that wouldn't mind two more doggies for 10 days hint hint

It doesn't have to be kennels go online and look for 'home boarding' there are quite a few about.
Dogs are boarded at home by people with experience and with dogs of their own where they live with the family .It sounds like it might serve you better mind you they usually only take neutered dogs and dogs that are well socialised
Cost is around £15 per dog per night often there can be a discount for 2 from the same home .
I have horses dogs cats chickens all kept at home and find it more economic to have someone living in the house to look after everything, just a thought.
