Just wondered what these saddles are like.

Been looking on ebay at saddles and noticed a few of these for sale, they appear to be a nice looking saddle with a more flatter tree with a good seat in them (for a 17'').

I just wondered if anyone has or did have one of these saddles and what sort of shape of horse they 'tend' to fit.

There is one fitted with flair that I'm tempted by but I've heard people have problems with flair (not pumping up correctly/evenly or the air leaking back out, would you not buy a second hand saddle fitted with flair?

Feed back much appreciated.

I had one for my Welsh D. I loved it! Sold it last year as didnt fit my big lad and Mr Welshie had changed shape so much he needed a narrower fit.
It felt very secure to ride in and wore well, if that makes sense!

I had one when I first got my coblet. Fitted her extremely well, alas not me. I am 5'11" and my long legs kind of hung out of it... Mine was a medium wide on a 15.2 HW cob. It wore really well, cleaned up and looked like new even after 2 years of regular use. So definately worth the money and very nice to ride in. I decided on a mtm from Barry Barker (wider saddle flaps to accomodate my legs)- an ideal saddle that both me and my girlie love

We had a WHP one for our m&m 13hh. Had it 7 yrs and was really great, cleaned up well. Not sure that a comparison with our 15" is of much use to you but it was comfortable (when my bum fitted it!). Would certainly buy another one.

Aw ive got a Kensington Dressage saddle and it is absolutley fab!! Its the most comfortable saddle ive even sat in, it fits my table top, flat backed, huge warmblood nicely, worth every penny. x

You have hit the nail on the head there, because when I was looking at them they seemed from the photos that is, that they would suit something that is very straight in the back.

Reason I asked is my horse is quite 'donkey backed' as I call it and most saddles just don't fit, its not the fitting width wise etc its the actually tree there built on.

Thank you thats very useful.
