Is anyone else's horse obsessed with it? My share pony is always straining to get near it. Today I was slopping it on thinking it was out of reach only to straighten up to see idiotpony nose deep in it.
He obviously didn't think much of the taste and then spent ages wiping his muzzle and tongue over me and his stable door to rid himself of it.
He clearly didn't learn his lesson as he spent a lot of time after trying to eat the smeared hoofbrush.

Not the horses.....but i do have to watch the dogs otherwise they run off with my brush i put it on with! They love it!

My pony loves the taste and actually didn't eat his dinner one night until he'd finished licking it off his hooves ....I wouldn't mind but he is possibly the fussiest little creature ever and usually persuading him to eat anything is a struggle.

Haha! Glad its not just mine! What's in it to make it so appealing? I know there's animal fats and stuff which I guess explains the dogs but horses?
Its not a sign that he's lacking in something or is he just odd?

I have had 3 hoof oil brushes which I use to apply it go missing. The only explaination I can think of is birds getting them, as only Mum's dog here who only goes out on a lead

when I put some on my mare I turned around to find her licking up the bits i'd dripped on the floor very strange

My dog will lick it off the horses hooves as well as the brush and tub. She loves the oil and the balm and will rummage through my grooming bag to find it :0)

I once found a wooden spoon which had been dragged away by rats so maybe not birds!
