Hi all,
Ive not done a report yet, so bare with me!
Scoopy and I went to our first BSJA SJ comp at Keysoe yest and had a fab day. We were both pretty nervous and cacking our pants, but both had a good warm up and we did the clear round, Scoopy only went and got a clear round so she was well chuffed with that and the pressure was then on me to get one aswell. Arch went really well in the warm up, but it all got a but too much for him in the ring and we had a couple of stops, but all in all it wasnt that bad and was a good warm up for him for the next class.
So we both did class one, Scoopy had a fab round and went double clear, then I went clear in the first phase and was goin really well and I had Arch in a nice rythm, then at the 3rd fence in the jump off, we were really going for it, then the little bugger put in a nasty stop and we clashed heads! (ouch)
How I didnt fall off, I dont know! Got a fab pic of me hanging round his neck though, that will be in the gallery later. But after a good talking to we flew over it the second time and just clipped a back pole on another fence, so ended on 8 faults, but I was really pleased with him, as its our first comp after months and an injury!
We both did the second class and the first fence in that class was the big scary black fillers that he slammed the brakes on for in the first class, so I rode like buggery to that one and he flew it, had much better rythm and rode really well, just clipped a pole, think I just got a little too under it and ended on 4 faults. Scoopy had a fab round aswell and ended on 4 faults also after she came 3rd in the first class.
So all in all, we both had a fab day and Archie and Sky love eachother! (both males by the way!!
