First of all thank you so much for all the vibes, it really means a lot.

She is very very sore today, still not sure of anything, the plan is to take her in to the vets tomorrow morning. Vet will then reassess and xray/scan if necessary. She is on strong antibiotics due to where the deep hole is on her hock is. The risk of an infection is high.

I will keep you updated, I really don't know what to expect. She is obviously exhausted, as am I, worked out I ran almost 3 miles and my ankle is b****red

I cant believe this happened, no idea why she flipped, the only thing I can come up with is maybe she got stung or something...

I've just read your other thread, how awful! What silly creatures horses are at times. I hope there is no lasting damage and that she will recuperate quickly.

thats so unlucky...my pony did the same thing once and also landed in the road. She recovered fully in a warm stable and with plenty of rest....some young people had been shouting at her and were scarying her so she leaped over the fence...
lots of lucky vibes being sent your way....

Eeek, only just come in here so had to go and find original post. So sorry to hear this MH, hope the beautiful Kia isn't too damaged and makes a speedy and full recovery. Hugs ((((((((())))))))) xx

Poor Kia and poor you! At least you got to the wound very quickly and hopefully it will heal soon. Lots of vibes for both of you.
