Kick to the cannon bone

Popped a new arrival(been in sepaation for 2 wks) out beside 2 mares today - they mosied around abit then the new one double barrelled the big mare so she responed with a full thwack abd caught the poor we thing on cannon bon e- sh ehoppe don 2 legs - I thought she'd broken her leg!!!!!!!!!!

We dragged her in and fortnuately just a surface injury! But still lame!
Was planning to show her tomorrw - deffo time off and boot her up before turning her out with those(thugs) again....... any introduction tips?? Just unfortunate I know but what a scare!

How (i.e. type of fencing) were they separated before?

yes they had been over the fence(electris) for a fortnight - decided to put the new one in beside 2 others and just unlicky I suppose - one kicked and caught the new one! A bit swollen but walking on it ok now thankfully! But now I am scared to turn her back out with them - I honestly thought her leg was broken at the time.
