kicking

hi my horse has started to kick her stable and i dont know why she is doing this ,we moved to this yard about 4 months ago she has setteled in ok she is next to her field mate any help please

Doe she kick at a certain time of day, are her ears back when she does it? Do you think she means to aim it at you???

Have you checked for colic, mud fever, mites or rats?

It may be mites, but is she rubbing them aswell or just kicking?

Is her field mate a mare too? My mare and her neighbour ( another mare) kick the wall at each other but are friendly when turned out. We thought it was just a mare thing, does tend to happen more when her neighbour is still eating, she will kick out if my mare even walks about in her stable.

thats about sums my mare up her fieild mate is also a mare i worried she will hurt her self because she is kicking holes in the stable the mere next 2 her does not kick only mine i allso worried that we may be asked to leave the yard

what is the deviding wall made of perhaps if it is mesh you should cover it up so the can't see each other unless over the stable door i found this helps lots. she is probably just a bit crowded some animals see the stable as there space and she could be just protecting it. try it you never know good luck
