thought he was improving, but the pain in his side is getting worse, he actually went for me in the field when I ran my hand over his side (through a rug) I was lucky to miss the teeth. So vet now thinks he is over the cystis (weeing and drink normally now) and there is an underlying problem, so she is scanning his kidneys again tomorrow to check for kidney stones, this time she is going to inject him first to relax the intestine so she can see the kidneys better

Get him referred ASAP.
Like I said before, we had one that had stones and he ended up having emergency surgery to remove a kidney at RVC. They tried just leaving them in and using oral treatments etc but one shifted.
His recovery was difficult and took ages but he's now on no medication and shouldnt suffer any more ill effects

He has now been refered to newmarket, had a long chat with my vet and we both agree it is the only option. Hopefully they will work out what is going on.

Thanks for writing down your experience with stones Boss, it is very encouraging to here of a horse getting over them and not having a problem
