Kidney Stones??

Can horses get Kidney stones??

The pony that is in hospital Nurse has her money on a urinary problem and we wondered about kidney stones whilst musing at the yard last night.

Has anyone heard of these in horses?

they can get them although its rare
my 3 year old rescue pony had uthera stones and couldnt urinate he just kept standing there trying and was getting colicy thankfully as he was only 10.3h the past down his tube and the vet cut him on the end which released them and he could urinate but my vet had never seen it before its more comon in goats and elderly horses
he was put on a vit c supplement to make his urine more acidic and salt to make him drink more
