i have just been given a kieffer magnetic browband, and i wondered how they worked and what they did, would i affect my horse by using it as he has no problems

Never used the browband but use the Barnsby headpiece all the time on my horse - has not problems other than can be tense and it works a treat

There were mega posts about this the other week if you look at Tempi's posts you'll get more info but, in a nutshell, less tense/argumentative, more flexible, quicker to start working and alot softer through the poll.
I know when he hasn't got it on!
Doesn't work for all horses though - I've just bought another from someone else on here who say no difference - definitely worth a 'try before you buy' if y ou can

Ive always used magnetic products on my horses but as i mentioned in the thread of tempi's, id personally be reluctant to place something near the brain.
Theres a lot of claims that they calm the horse and can make stressy animals more relaxed and my concern would be that if they are indeed having an effect upon their behaviour - what exactly are they doing to my horse to cause this effect.
I dont know... ive used them as leg wraps to increase circulation on stabled horses but im just not keen on the behaviour changing claims associated with placing them close to the horses brain.
