I've bought a lovely Kieffer saddle which needs to be adjusted to fit my horse. Just wondered if anyone had had this done and what sort of cost I am looking at for it.

I know that prices vary up and down the country, but an indication at the moment would be great.

Many thanks

It needs altering from a medium/narrow to a medium at least. The flocking looks to be in good condition and the lady that I bought it from had it altered from a medium/wide to a medium/narrow at Townsfield in Coventry for about £50.

My new challenge seems to be finding someone around who has the Kieffer bench to do it. Will have a look at the saddle to see if there is any information about the specific type of tree in it, as some are heated for alteration...

Has anyone else had this done?

if you look on kieffer website they have a list of people in the uk who can do it, but also worth calling your local saddlers to see if they can deal with it, maybe not the adjusting but the sending it off ect.
