I learnt to ride there. Very expensive but hell, it did the job. Then went back to learn to jump (cant really do that at P L can you haha) and well u know me ..still doing it...
The prices are the off putting thing. Terry Allen teaches there(am sure) he is amazing.
I've never been there myself but live near there and have heard good things, but it is expensive, to be honest anywhere in this area is being so close to London. If you pm me I could give you the details of other yards in the area which I think are good and may be cheaper. If you want to go hacking, they will take you to Richmond Park which is gorgeous, I'm looking forward to taking my horse there in the summer.
Prittstick, does Terry Allen do freelance? I'm sort of looking for an instructor at the moment, also what are the prices at Kingston exactly?
yes he does. Can get you his number or if you ask through the pony club(think is either sandown chase or wimbledon he teaches) KRC has a webby- prices are steep but essentially thats where i got all my basics and they have stood me well! http://www.kingstonridingcentre.com/
I teach at a riding school nearby and we have quite a few people who came from that centre so just PM for any specific questions.
I personally wouldn't recommend...
Terry Allen used to teach Wimbledon Pony Club, he moved to soemwhere else though. I had him for PC camp- he was amazing but had slighrtly different technique teaching jumping than I'm used to!
I expect he's really expensive.
