6 weeks and it feels like yesterday since we lost Tia. I still feel number about it.

In better news we have invited little Kismet - 10 weeks old now - into our home and hearts.

We are mastering sit, down, leave, drop and are booked into puppy classes starting Nov.

She comes to the yard a couple times a week while I poo pick and little miss independent is happy halfway across the 2 acre paddock playing.

3 yr old Fraggle wasn't sure but now brings her toys to play tug with and they play fight together. Despite me telling him to be gentle she goes and leaps on his head so I don't interfere but I do keep an eye on them.

Kismet is a name I've wanted to use for 20 years but wasn't quite right.

She came home on Tia's birthday and she starts training classes on my birthday / the day Tia came home to us.

We went to view her and were shown all 4 females. I had miss blue and my partner held miss red. I swapped as there was something about that pup. Later on I looked at Tia's puppy pics and she was the pup with the red collar.

While I am always thinking about Tia, little Kismet has her own identity and boy does she let you know it.

Fraggle looked resigned when she cuddled up in the car but she now sticks to her own side curling up.
She likes being a yard dog much to ponies dismay as she curled up under the haynet on farrier day.

This is her daytime crate and this was last night after her first full on zoomies. Fraggle looked at her stunned as she hoolied around the house. He didnt ever really have zoomies.

He was a proper cockerdile as a pup and despite GSDs being land sharks I choose land shark every time. They hurt less 🤣

Both of my German Shepherd's were "rescues", so I missed out on the adorable puppy stage.
She's absolutely beautiful. 😍
Aww, I did try fostering from near me but the place wanted me to do all the running around and I gave up.
Another couple places wouldn't consider us for adoption as our fence isn't 6ft.

I do love the puppy stage though with the puppy smell and those little licks to the nose.

You are making me broody for another GSD. I am too old to take on another pup.
Never say never 🤣

Not sure if she will be our last pup or not. Time will tell. I have covid so its making it more difficult. I can't be without a GSD in the house and Kismet has made it feel more like home again.
