Hi,

My horse had kissing spine surgery around 4 weeks ago (the new technique used at Cotts Equine). Has anyone else had this surgery? Would be interested to hear your stories.

thanks :)

not yet! booked in for 27 nov so also interested in everyone elses stories!

Oh good luck! i am suprised how well my horse recovered! recovery has been pretty straight forward! 1 weeks box rest, 30 mins walking in hand two days after surgery, we are on 30 mins walk and 10 trot in the pessoa every day then i am aiming to get on him in 5 weeks once the physio and vet have given him the all clear again. The vet said i could get on him in another 2 weeks but me being paranoid i would rather take my time and get him well muscled! Where abouts are you having the surgery?
