Posting a thread for my YO. She has been offered a 16.2hh, 7yr old TB, ex racer but more recently re-schooled and introduced to sj, eventing, dressage. He's apparently got movements and temperament to die for and is a true gentleman. Good home far more important than price. The fly in the ointment is that he had surgery for kissing spines a while back and has only been brought gently back into work over the last 8 weeks. He's already doing Prelim dressage and YO would like to take to Elementary. If kissing spine surgery is successful, are there any long term implications eg arthritis of the spine etc etc? If one area of his spine has needed surgery, would further surgery in other areas be more likely? Or can he be considered sound and "normal" now? Any experience anyone? Thanks.
