KK bit sizing - do they come up smaller?

In people's experience do the KK bits come up smaller than the same size in a different brand? I've found one on ebay but it's a 5", and Missie only usually takes a 4 1/2" (in Myler and NS). But her current bits are both fulmers and the bit i'm looking at is a loose ring, and I know you need to get them a bit wider so they don't nip...
Do you think a 5" might fit? I've tried her in a 5 1/4" NS single link loose ring and it's miles too big so bit worried it'll be too large!

I find they come up true to size, but also read somewhere (quite possibly on the kk site) that you want them to fit on the snug side which might be worth you looking into.

Incidentally how much extra do you need to allow for a loose ring? Do you really need to get a larger size or would you just buy the same size as fulmer/eggbutt?

Don't know about KK bits but I've just got a Cottage Craft Lozenge loose ring bit and had to get 1/2" bigger than I use in a cheeked bit.
