Hi

Can anyone tell me what difference the 16mm thickness would make versus the 18mm thickness?

I have an ID x WB but have no idea what sort of mouth conformation he has as I don't go selving about in there! So I'm not sure if a 16mm would suit better than his current 18mm one...

Thanks

Im no expert but 2mm is tiny so I cant see it making a massive difference. I could understand if your bit was 21mm. I have an ID x and am currently looking for a kk ultra, he has a fleshy mouth and tongue and Ive been looking for either 16 or 18mm. If your horse really objects to your bit, maybe its the bit and not the thickness??
If you decide to change your bit and want to sell the one you have, please pm me. Im looking for a 5 3/4 or 6in though.

I would personally go for the 18mm unless your horse has either a very small mouth or is a bit strong, in which case I would go or the 16mm.

My German warmblood is in a KKultra loose ring french link snaffle 18mm

Lou x

Thanks guys.
I actually really like his current 18mm kk but was just wondering if it would make any difference. He can be strong on occasion so may be worth trying to find a 2nd hand 16mm for those days...
