KK Ultra fitting instructions - good job I checked !

My friend gave me a KK Ultra bit minus instructions.

It has an arrow which I assumed should go on the right side but turns out it should go on the left.

I think it's quite a gentle bit but I was wondering what would have happened if I had put it in the other way round ?

Nothing much... i did it by mistake for about 3 rides and made very little difference! Some other liveries pointed it out as i had put it together in the car in a rush then just didnt realise! But as i said she didnt seem too bothered! If you look at it the peanut is on a *slight* angle so lays flatter to the tongue.

ooo...must check mine! I dont think I ever had any instructions with mine.....I saw the arrow had to face forwards, but tbh thought there was one on both sides!!

I rode my old boy for a whole year with it the worng way round

Didn't feel any different tbh in fact my trainer always used to comment how nice and still in the mouth he was. That said, you could ride him in just about any bit and it made no difference, I'm sure on some other horses it would.......

It doesn't sit in the mouth as nicely if it's the wrong way round. The lozenge is angled forward at 45degrees.
