I wonder if anyone has any advice/experience of knee injury in dogs. My mini schnauzer x poodle was chasing our other dog out on a walk a couple of days ago. she hasn't put her weight on her left back leg since. I took her to the vet. they think she's either fully or partially torn her cruciate ligament. There may also be meniscus damage. She had a painkiller and anti-inflammatory injection and some metacam tabs. I took her back to the vets tonight. She is now putting a little weight on her leg now. She's going to have X-rays next week and has a weeks supply of metacam. The vet did mention she might need surgery. of course I've been looking on t'internet and scaring myself silly!! so I wondered if anyone had any advice/info about the condition, treatment and what to ask the vet. Thanks.
