Scenario. Horse got kicked at top of knee cap. Vet prescribed meds and Danalon and a weeks box rest. Still swollen so xrays and scans today. No bone damage, no tendon tears but dark area which is probably infection. Definite soft tissue damage. More meds, danalon and box rest for a month. Reasses after 3 weeks.
If the horse appears sound in a month would there be any underlying damage likely that might cause problems later? I ask because it is a horse I hve put a deposit on and vetted and it subsequently got kicked before pick up.
Horse of dreams but don't want it to turn to nightmare, have to be objective and head rule not heart.
