I seem to have the problem when I jump that I stick my entire legs out quite a bit. I'm guessing it is because I am turned out from my hips but I don't really know how to fix this and I never been able to find anyone else with the same problem xx

Agree - you probably need a narrower twist to allow your hips to lie more naturally. You'll be amazed how different it feels. Persistently riding in too wide a saddle can cause damage to the pelvis in females which then causes complications in pregnancy. (Causes the same damage to boys - they just don't get pregnant so its not a problem.) And of course you risk knocking your knees on things!

Are you in a position to be able to replace your saddle with something more suitable for you?

I tend to try to think more of keeping my ankle bone wrapped onto the horse, so my knees are softer. A lifetime of ramming my knees into the saddle is a hard habit to break though- like an addict I still have relapses, especially down hills or over drops. But ankle bone on, knees allowed to come off a little if they want, makes a much more secure position.
