Knife in my shavings!

Since February this year I have been emailing Royal Span horse Beding as I found a very sharp knife in the middle of my bale of shavings, it definatly was in there at packing as shavings were compressed all around it, luckly i shake it up well, I have had no appologie from the company, just wondered if I'm over reacting?!?! as I have emailed again this morning as the only real reply I have had is that it was baled in holand! Think it would be different story if had been sending them a vet bill!

Personally I don't think you are over reacting, it could have been nasty. Ring them up and ask to speak to their customer service bod - tell them the least they can do is give you a voucher for several more bales by way of apology. Otherwise you will regard them as a company who have no regard for their customers and source your shavings elsewhere.

That could have been very nasty and resulted in expensive vet bills. At the very least you want assurance that packing process will be checked to ensure future safety of customers.

Friend of ours always finds out name of Chief Exec/Managing Director and contacts them direct. He gets more success this way!

Thanks peeps, that's what I thought! I had visions of my horse with the knife hanging out of him! I will persevere, things like this shouldn't happen all there bales should be Checked for metal apparently they only have a metal detector at their Belgium plant not Holland, thanks again!

I often think people are overreacting... But no, you're not overreacting! That could have ended nastily.

I would not be buying from them again if I was you!
