Hope you can help me, am going to try a 14hh, 6 year old connie/X on Sunday, possible loan maybe buy. She is currently in the field as owner has no rider for her, apparently she was broken, ridden away & then a couple of children have ridden her a little. She jumped clear at a little local clear round & is willing & straightforward. Will know more when I have ridden her, but really don't know how much she would be worth if I like her enough to buy & bring on. Ideas anyone??

I don't think being Connie X actually adds anything to the price of the pony, whereas anything reg Connie seems to be about £1000 on top of the price before you even get to what it is like / has done.

Personally I wouldn't pay more than £800 as she's not done anything at all and the majority of 6 yo ponies would have.

A connie X (typical grey cob type) you will pick up from a sales (Melton was were we went) for a minimum of £1k. I would say about £1500 they fetch very good money especially if grey.

Saying that if she turns out to be a 100% safe, fun pony then you can ask your price, people love them and they sell very very easily. Good safe 14 -15hh ponies are few and far between and worth there weight in gold.

If he's willing then on top of everything he's a clean slate and it depends how much you're willing to pay for that. CANNOT beat a connie imo!
Good luck, let us know how you get on!

Can't help you with price - but this is exactly what we are searching for, except we are after a 14.2hh minimum. Doesn't need to jump or dressage, just a safe hack/family pony! 'Hen's teeth' springs to mind!
