I thought that I would share the link for this project in Thailand. It's a non-profit organisation rescuing abused, neglected and abandoned ponies. It is run by a man called Chalit who is currently funding it himself - they can't really afford proper fencing so the ponies spend most of their time tethered to trees and Chalit walks them in hand each day. The aim is to rehabilitate them and rehome them with loving families (as ridden ponies, companions or pets).
I know that this is genuine as a client who joined me on a riding holiday last year has just moved to Thailand for work and is now volunteering for the project each weekend (she contacted me about it). The company I work for will be sponsoring a pony and we aim to send a pack with some useful items such as headcollars and grooming supplies which they are really lacking.
