Hi, I bought a korsteel eggbutt with curved*bars. I bought a 5.5 as this is my boys usual size but I looks too big in his mouth, there is about half inch showing either side out of his mouth.
Just wondering if anyone else thinks they come up big? Also whats betta too big or too small?

We've normally found them to come at correct sizing but they go up in half inch increments. If you need a ¼" or ¾" sizing then you will need to buy from a different company & the companies who do increments of ¼" are normally considerably more expensive than Korsteel.

Obviously it's better to have the correct size of bit in the horse's mouth but I suppose a slightly oversized bit is better than an undersized one as it won't pinch & injure the horse. REally you need to get the correct size though. :)

I have one and it is the right size. Would much rather too big and would possibly use it until I had the right size, too small I would not use.

Also sometimes very curved bits are weird for sizing. You could post a picture for opinions.
