It's general vitamins I think... I used them at the beginning of the season when mine were changing their coats, and their summer coats were amazing!

It was recommended to me by my friend who has a yard full of hunt horses and swears by it and really rate it, especially when changing coats.

I get mine from my local tack shop, it's very good value

I bought mine from the local feed shop. Honestly H_J I cannot even begin to tell you what a difference it has made in P - I just had a lesson and my instructor was in shock at how well P looks and is going now - she has totally got her spark back and is will and happy and more content, not buzzy tho.

The blurb...

Kossolian Blood Salts contain a carefully balanced, highly palatable compound of iodised minerals with iron, spices, trace elements and vitamin B12. Recommended for all horses, especially for horses in full work, young stock, and mares during last 4 months of gestation.
Particularly valuable in Spring and Autumn when horses are changing their coats, but for best results should be used throughout the year.
The attractive flavour of spices helps to ensure that horses 'eat up'.*

Great - have just bought a small tub to try on Spider, she sometimes (in the summer expecially) loses a bit of spark.

May also try the Topspec Turbo or some kind of racing mix in the summer months too, she is on competition mix all year round and I have miles enough spark now in the winter but no where near as much in the summer, think the aim is to not do so much in the summer as well

Kossolian has been going for years (I remember using it at a yard in the 60's!) and is brilliant for something needing a bit of a pick me up. I still feed it to my mares from Christmas until after foaling, wouldn't be without it tbh.

I used to feed them to my old SJ and they were great. I used them through the summer when we were competing every week and he was always bright. They were also good as they made him drink more, he wasn't keen on drinking from a bucket and when we went away he wouldn't drink much.
