My mare had 3 KS removed under the saddle, but where she weight bears. I did get her back into work just hacking out but then she got a SI injury true to form!

She has had a year and a half off and is now looking sound and very good on the ground. She is wearing her saddle and no humping or bucking. Its early days but building up nicely. Am very tempted to get on bare back to begin with with a helper.

Any thoughts appreciated. Basically she needs totally re-backing.

Have you got any pictures?

I'd definately wait until she has built up a nice solid topline before hopping back on....you could play around leaning over her, sitting on her, all slowly just all nice and relaxed as if nothing was ever a problem!

Its been on off with Bridie, shes had a few lameness issues (unrelated to the KS) recent one was a tendon/check lig swelling...panic city but i got the farrier to radically reshape her feet and now all is ok...but all the beautiful topline has slipped away in the 4-5weeks well not completely but i can see a difference...and now its horrible weather and always dark im strggling to find time to help build it back up....!

Horses!
