I know they don't look pretty but that really isn't a concern for me!!

I have trouble with knees/ankle/hips and left lower leg sometimes goes where it wants.

I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis and have been trying since August to rebuild my strength BUT it is not likely to get much better (according to physio there is just too much going on)

the links on the left show how well they are supposed to work

I must say the marketing is pretty good but wonder how well they work in reality

They have been recommended by someone on here, person concerned uses them for hunting/fun ride , SJ and tent pegging

I can have them on trial for a month but obviously have to pay up front first and don't know the French seller

What do you think??

Someone started a post on that product on here about a year ago.

Think those stirrups are used quite a bit on the continent but not so much here.

They look weird, but it doesn't much matter if they're comfortable. Whether they're 'legal' in any of our Affiliated competitions, I don't know, but I remember a few people saying they loved them, so worth a try I should think.

whether they are legal is something I am asking right now, fingers crossed, but I bet they aren't for BD or BE at least, debatable for BS too I guess

Jen cots certainly does, she also sells them so needed other opinions (no offence Jen)

It says BS need a doctors letter which for me would not be a problem :D:D due to my replacement ankle and RA

Hope BD would be as easy

What happens for hunter trials etc??

I would think you'd be fine although if run under riding club/pony club rules it might be worth checking if they stipulate anything about stirrups :)

These look fab... if they were competition legal would certainly get a pair, but not much point otherwise, no point getting used to them then to revert back to our metal stirrups, which i'm sure would have a very different feel.

So I am totally biased and perhaps my opinion should be discounted as dad is selling them

However in a nutshell here's the low down

We saw them at BETA last Feb and I was fascinated and bought a pair from the show. Basically dad said something along the lines of they are butt ugly and no one will buy them, but I got them with my own cash so he couldn't moan!!

I trialled them and loved them, I only showjumped, but because of the security took up cross country for the first time in 10 years on my bay thing. If you look at the ebay auction you can see some of my hairy moments in a series of pictures (thanks dad!!)

Mum tried them and loved them as she is very stiff and unbalanced and could finally ride without being in pain

So I got dad to start selling them

Competition wise - no body has rules to exclude them. However if you ask the answer is often no, as they look weird. I have managed to do a lot in them and most sane ground juries will allow them once they see how they work.

Officially BS will only allow with a letter, and BE have said they won't approve until testing has been performed. However they haven't said what testing they want (helpful!). I keep hassling the owner of K'vall to do something, as I am totally confident these are safer than standard fillis irons.

I even had an offer from a chap on HHO to throw himself from a horse with these!!!

I just emailed BE to see if they will let me use them with a DR letter. Probably won't but hey I thought I would try.

Bet they will take ages to reply too
