Ster, Keur, Preferant....what does it all mean? What is tested and what are the horse's expected to do?

Does it have an impact on the value of the offspring?

Kuer - graded top in the regional gradings

Preferent - has produce three offspring which are graded top in the regional gradings

Prestatie - has produced three offspring which have been graded top in the performance grading competitions.

Dunno about Ster, but it certainly affects the offspring's value. I sold one this year from a Prestatie mare and got a very good price even though he was uncompeted himself.
