I'm just trying to do some research into my mares passport. Could anyone tell me what the number next to the dam/sire/grandsire is? Is it like an identification number? If so is there anywhere you can find out more information on the horse? It has the address of the breeding yard she came from and would love to get some more info.

You will have a passport number and if your hose is fully registered then will have a registration number for that society. The society will have details but not always everyhting, your best lead would be to contact the stud

Yeh she does have a registration number. Will try contacting the stud again but I done so. Couple of years ago and couldn't find a way to contact them. Thanks!

The number next to the name of the sire/dam etc will be their registration number. If you want more info on your horse, I would contact the KWPN direct - they get these sort of enquiries all the time and have info such as grading marks, any foals, the level the horse competed at in Holland etc.

Koss is a well known Gelders stallion - more info on him is available on the KWPN's website here:
