My lovely horse is bred by the kwpn stallion Jacardo.
I was just wondering if anyone has any info / pictures on Jacardo. Or anyone has pictures of their kwpn / Dutch warmbloods. I'm amazed at how differently they all look!

Thanks guys.

Don't be surprised they all look different. Warmbloods - dutch, belgian, swedish, etc, etc - are all 'heinz' varieties as the studbooks are open. Which means they can use approved stallions from different breeds and still register them as KWPN, etc. You'll find TB, gelderlander, holstein, hanovarian (to name a few) in the mix.:)

Gelderlander was one of the foundation breeds for DWB rather than a recent crossing, they are the reason the KWPN is the royal stud of Netherlands and they have their own part of the stud book, Gelders Paard. They are no longer crossed back into DWBs and are officially now a rare breed with only around 15 registered stallions remaining.
