hey!! well buddy went back to the vets the other day and he was weighed and he is wopping 16.5kg (35lbs) at 4 1/2 months!
Just wonderd what your labs weighed at this age, do you think he is fat?
The vet said he was perfect and fine??xx

my lab was fat, and it was very hard to get fit. if you look at any lab they are generally overweight as they are prone to putting on weight. it is now so common to see an overweight lab that when my friend had a fit and healthy one she was accused of starving the dog. a labs tummy should go up, and be almost "streamline" looking. If you are concerned about your pup being overweight then i would start taking it out for gradual longer walks in order to help fitten it up.
if you need any advice on what to feed your pup then feel free to pm me. my sister is a vetinary nurse so i now know all about it (not by choice)..

My lab is nearly 9mnth & will weigh around 26kg. I think she must be a throw back as she is not a big eater!! LOL she is a leggy trim girl.

My 6yo lab is an old fashioned chunky style lab and weighs 32kg - her ideal weight is 28-30kgs, but she has put on weight since being spayed and has some health issues which haven't helped her weight.

My lab is about 25kg not fat and quite leggy. But she is a thief and will steal any food going (especially chocolate which she knows is not allowed)

hey guys thanks for the info!!He gets walked twice a day!!! he looks well enough, and doesnt look fat!! The vet said he was the correct weight and said the was not fat!!! We are keeping an eye on him. He will eat anything he can get his hands on hehe!!

thanks guys!!!
