Going to see one today, any particular qns I should ask. Hes kc reg and parents have hip and eye. What should I be looking out for? Been so long since we looked for one!
Ask which one the breeders are keeping and why they chose that dog for that bitch.
If they are not keeping one without a good reason (eg wanted a black bitch and not one in the litter) walk away.
Have the parents any previous progeny?
Have the parents done anything? Working, showing?
Look up the parent's names on the KC site to confirm health tests.
If they want a deposit there & then rather than you sending one in a day or so when you've had chance to think about it I would be very worried.
