As I have mentioned it on here before you may know we are getting another labrador. We have put our name down for one from the litter from our bitches sister. Trouble is the breeders missed her first season, then she had a phantom and now hasn't come back in. Apparently the phantom treatment can cause a missed season? If this is the case then it is another 6 months to wait for a season, let alone gestation, being born and growing to weaning. So, do I look around for a 'random' working pup, or try to find out if the sire has fathered any other litters...or just wait? Can't decide!
 
I think the bitch may be trying to tell them something!!

I'd wait and have a good look around and try something with similar lines, as you say, rather than rush out and buy a 'random' pup.
 
Yes, random was a bit strong! I may try the stud dogs owners and see if he has sired more litters. Really annoying - we have been waiting so long already.
