Hi All,

I am looking for any info on my childhood pony ‘Lady’! She was approx 13.2hh and I doubt she is still with us – if she is she would be in her late 30’s! She was a very pretty chestnut welsh (sec B I think) pony, she had 3 white socks and a marking on her face that was almost the shape of an open umbrella (best I can describe it!!) she had a droopy bottom lip and big belly. Was a lovely pony to ride, well behaved most of the time, sometimes could be a bit grumpy when doing her girth up but nothing really bad.

She was at Liz Freeman’s yard in Manea, Wisbech Road, Cambridgeshire, when she was owned by a young girl called Lara for many years, she was also used a riding school pony then, then Lara moved her from this yard, and a few years later my friends mum bought her for me and her son to ride. Lady was older but always healthy, after having her for a while we took her showing – as soon as we got into the show ring she knew exactly where she was and would perform beautifully and show me what to do. Which makes me believe that she must have done a lot of showing in her earlier days – we continued to show together, I gave her the show name of ‘Pretty Woman’ or she may have been under the name of ‘Calmolly Pretty Woman’, but I wouldn’t know what her past show name was, we also did a bit of jumping. After a few years I moved, and Lady’s owner sold her on to some people in Newmarket (I think) for their little girl…. That’s all the information I have, I don’t think she was freezemarked, if she was it would have been on her back but I am sure she wasn't. When I rode her, the woman who would have sold her on was an American lady called Molly who also lived in Manea.

I would love to know where she went, what she got up to after my time with her, and if anyone has any information on her. These are the only 2 pictures I have:
