Hiya

Does anyone know of anywhere with a good amount of water to go into whilst hacking in Norfolk or Suffolk. I know Holkham in Norfolk is amazing as have been there but it's over 2 1/2hrs hours away from me and it's too hot to expect the horses to travel all that way.

So are there any other river crossings, lakes or beaches that allow horses that are closer to Suffolk? Am willing to pay for access for the right place, if we can get belly high water that would be great!

I think that you can ride on the beach from Leiston to Dunwich. So long as your horse wouldn't be worried by Sizewell B on one side for a very short part of the ride. Worth checking if it's still OK to ride it with Suffolk Coastal District Council perhaps??

You can also ride between Pakefield church and Kessingland apparently, if you call Pakefield ridingSchool on 01502 572257 they'll be able advise you, and maybe let you park your box there?
