I just received a text warning that a silver transit van with reg plate y848 xnr was caught casing a yard in lambley nottinghamshire last night. The police confirm that the plate is false.

May not be linked to the other cases but everyone in the area be on the lookout for anything unusual. And make sure no valuables are left especially on unsupervised yards.

same van in stanley, ilkeston this morning near a yard, again looking at horses. The police went out, apparently the plates aren't registered to that van. My mum had the plates stolen off her car not that long ago, so she's not too happy either!

My horse is only a couple of miles away, so being very vigilant.

The horse thefts in Derbyshire have been reported in the local press on BBC news, for those wondering.
