Hi
wonder if any one can advise, please.
My youngster appears to be foot sore when he walks on the concrete, i suspected he was very slightly sore at the begining of last week but OH said he was ok, just me.
I bought him in saturday night and he was frine on the grass but as soon as he walked on the concrete he was definatly lame , well appeared to be more foot sore

I rang vet and had a chat, he told me to leave him in and see how he goes, no swelling, no heat and no digital pulse and horse generally happy in himself.

He trotted out beautifuly on the grass yesterday but still finding it uncomfortable on the concrete, could it be thats hes just got abit of a bruised sole, do you think?? and would that mean that he should have heat in his foot?

The vet said give him a couple of days if no improvement hes going to come out and check him over.

He was trimmed about three weeks ago, so it shouldnt be that.
What do you think should i get vet out sooner or wait and see, i normally over react and get vet out whatever, cost me a bloody fortune

Definatley get checked for corns- have someone trot him towards you on concrete. If he's putting his toe down first rather than his whole foot, it might well be corns so keep trying your farrier!
