My beastie has now been turned away 24/7 shoeless after 9 months of box rest with wedges on for DDFT issues. Aside from foot soreness, he has been absolutely fine and even as I turned him out (doped to the eyeballs) his trot was stunning, absolutely level.
However now he is not, flat paces and swellings on the pastern area. Im gtting the vet next week anyway, just wanted to know what are the issues in this area?
No pain or tenderness up and down the affected leg, which incicently is not the worst affected leg in terms of DDFT issues.

well usually you'd consider ringbone/sidebone around the pasturns, hopefully nothing like that but obv the ddft is already in play. i'd be cautious of turning out too much with that swelling but obv the vet will adv you
