Help... I rode my mare on Saturday but didnt think she was 100% sound and she was just not herself at all... just had a walk hack but I wasn't happy, but no sign of heat or swelling and she was sound in the field when I took her in. When I put her back out after hack she didn't look right. Anyway when I went out to feed them at night (they live out as I have no facilities yet) she was practically on three legs and her near foreleg was very hot and really swollen all down the inside, my first thoughts were tendons so I got her into a box at my neighbours for the night. strangely by morning the leg was less swollen but the swelling and heat seems to be coming from beside the knee, much less swelling though and now sound in walk but still a little unlevel in trot. I haven't given her anything, have left her in as not keen to turn her back out into the mud... not sure whether to call the vet or whether she has just tweaked or twisted something in the mud. I had ridden her on Friday and she was 100% her usual self. Any help very much appreciated.
