Hi, our pony shod 2 weeks ago only difference this time had stud holes although we haven't put studs in. Not been 100 per cent just slightly off behind. However thought OK on tuesday and was jumped high but on rubber menage. Wednesday definitely lame & vet could feel pulse in that hoof although not pounding and not sensitive to hoof testers.
Have tubed with salt 3 times a day, farrier out friday & removed shoe no bruising / abscess yet, not lammi & said to poultice.
Still not any change today , still pulse, cant see swelling anywhere around coronet etc and can put full weight on it as happy to pick up other hoofs.
He is out in the day in the field and in at night.
Any ideas - will be vet call on Monday again but i am worried sick.
